DOE-110DE - DOE Oversight Fundamentals

This basic-level eLearning course presents the fundamental concepts of Department of Energy safety oversight as stated in DOE P 226.1B, Department of Energy Oversight Policy and DOE O 226.1B, Implementation of Department of Energy Oversight Policy. The course prepares students for future oversight courses like DOE-120, DOE Oversight and Implementation and DOE-220, Assessment Techniques.

DOE-120 - DOE Oversight and Implementation

This intermediate-level course presents and tests a student’s ability to implement oversight activities to meet the requirements of DOE Order 226.1B, Implementation of the Department of Energy Oversight Policy. Order 226.1B establishes DOE requirements for assurance systems and processes established by DOE contractors and oversight programs performed by DOE line management and independent oversight organizations. The course incorporates lecture, discussion, and dynamic learning activities. DOE-120 is the first course in the sequence of the oversight courses being delivered by the NTC that directly support completion of the GTB Part B QS.

Highly Recommended: Familiarity with DOE Order 226.1B, Implementation of

Department of Energy Oversight Policy, and DOE Order 227.1A, Independent Oversight Program.

DOE-130 - Fundamentals of Performance Management

This intermediate-level course is designed to teach students the basic knowledge and skills (with numerous applied exercises) necessary to successfully design, develop, implement, and utilize a performance management system, irrespective of organizational affiliation or specific mission.

Highly Recommended: Familiarity with DOE Order 226.1B, Implementation of Department of Energy Oversight Policy.

DOE-145 - Oversight for Supervisors

The purpose of this course is to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary to implement an oversight process to meet the requirements of DOE Order 226.1B, Implementation of Department of Energy Oversight Policy.

Highly Recommended: Familiarity with DOE Order 226.1B, Implementation of Department of Energy Oversight Policy.

The course is designed for Federal and contractor supervisory personnel responsible for implementing the requirements in DOE O 226.1B, Implementation of Department of Energy Oversight Policy.

Upon successful completion of the course, the learner will be able to develop an organizational-level IOP for an assigned case study.

DOE-200DE - Assessments Fundamentals

This introductory course focuses on assessment terminology and basic assessor skills and techniques. It is a prerequisite to the instructor-led training given in DOE-215 and is part of the oversight curriculum track.

DOE-215 - Assessment Preparation and Application

This course is designed to provide students an opportunity to further develop or refresh their assessment skills. Given a defined scope and specific program information, students will develop an assessment plan (including criteria review approach documents) and per

form an assessment of a simulated company. Students are mentored by instructors that fulfill the role of assessment team leaders and technical advisors. Students will be presented with tools and techniques for analyzing assessment data and documenting their assessment results. Although students work in teams, they are assigned individual program areas to ensure each individual has a unique experience.

PMC-200DE - Survey Overview

This eLearning course familiarizes learners with Department of Energy (DOE) survey processes and procedures. It provides Federal and contractor personnel who have safeguards and security oversight responsibilities with an overview, and discusses the knowledge and skills essential for planning and conducting surveys and reporting survey results.

PMC-210 - Survey Fundamentals

This intermediate-level course provides the student with knowledge and tools to conduct Surveys and Self-Assessments. The students will learn and apply DOE policy in accordance with DOE O 470.4B, Safeguards and Security Program and best practices derived from DOE-STD-1217-2016, Safeguards and Security Survey and Self-Assessment Planning, Conduct, and Reporting. To maximize training realism without potentially affecting or revealing site capabilities or vulnerabilities, this course is not available for Mobile Training Team (MTT) presentation.

PMC-410 - Performance Testing Fundamentals

This basic course provides students with knowledge and tools to develop performance test plans. The students will learn and apply DOE policy in accordance with DOE O 470.4B, Safeguards and Security Program; DOE O 473.3A, Protection Program Operations; DOE O 474.2, Nuclear Material Control and Accountability, DOE O 471.6 Information Security, national drivers, and best practices derived from DOE-STD-1192-2018, Security Risk Management (OUO). DOE-310 - Oversight Data Reporting and Analysis

The Oversight Data Analysis and Reporting course gives students the opportunity to learn various data analysis techniques to unique nuclear safety related data sets. The results of the data analysis can result in the identification of nuclear safety issues that are then reported and entered into an issues management program. The course will also teach students a methodology to report nuclear safety issues to both Federal and contractor managers.

The course introduces students to the basics of data analysis, data sets, plotting, using standard deviations and seven analysis techniques used throughout industry. The course concludes with a lesson on reporting systemic issues to both Federal and contractor managers.
